President, Founder and Financial Advisor

Michael Burleigh is a hands-on advisor who meets with and advises each client personally. He takes great pleasure in running the business and providing expert guidance to retirees and individuals who are fast approaching retirement. He is committed to providing clients with conservative investment strategies that will help fund a better standard of living during retirement. Just like his clients, Michael believes in a strong work ethic and knows how important it is to preserve hard-earned dollars. He started his career in the financial services industry in 1986, branching out to form his own company three years later. Since that time, he has had the privilege of helping many thousands of people successfully prepare for and enjoy retirement. Michael is a State Registered Investment Advisor and Licensed Insurance Professional. Since opening his own firm over 25 years ago, Michael has been on a mission to protect his clients’ capital.

Client Service Advisor

As a client service advisor with Peak Capital Management, Ben is deeply committed to helping his clients pursue their long-term financial goals. He provides a comprehensive approach to goals-based wealth management and financial planning. Ben believes the cornerstone of a successful client-advisor relationship is the mutual trust and respect that develops over time, and he works hard to earn the trust of clients by being responsive to their needs.

Ben employs the vast resources of Peak Capital Management, to bring the right expertise and tailored financial strategies to best serve each client. He prides himself on providing clients with a white-glove level of service.

Ben has been in the financial services industry since 2015. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2012. Ben has been a member of Feed My Starving Children®, a Christian nonprofit organization, since 2014. When not busy helping his clients or serving the community, Ben enjoys snowboarding, fishing, martial arts, and spending time with his family.

Rich Pontynen

Tax Preparation and Planning

Although he retired in 2006, Rich still enjoys helping people with all their tax preparation needs. Rich has the unique ability to explain complex tax situations in a way that people can understand. With 29 years of experience as a partner of a CPA firm in Richmond, Va., he is a true professional. In his free time Rich enjoys boating, fishing and travel. He is also involved with the Florida Oceanographic Society and the St. Lucie River Power Squadron.

Erin Lindsay

Director of Client Services and Business Operations

Before joining Peak Capital Management in 2016, Erin spent years honing the skills that have made her so effective here. After obtaining her BA from NYU, she was employed for many years at Raymond James Financial Services, where she administered investment accounts and trusts and served as client liaison.  She also gained valuable experience as an Associate Producer at A&E Television Networks in charge of legal clearances.  In addition, she worked as an office manager and paralegal for a law firm after gaining experience through course work at Seton Hall Law School.

Erin thrives on providing clients with superior service and enjoys the camaraderie of working with them.  On a personal level, Erin, originally from New Jersey, is a passionate animal lover who enjoys museums, travel, British television, hiking and gardening.

Director of Marketing

Doris spent over 25 years in the financial services industry. Over the course of her career, she has enjoyed honing her skills in Business Development, Marketing, Management, Client Education and Client Services. As our Director of Marketing, she enjoys focusing her expertise, which allows us to reach and help more families transition to a stress-free retirement. One of Doris’ favorite aspects in this role is  teaming up with our Client Event Coordinator, Carty Burleigh, and creating memorable events for our wonderful clients. Doris is blessed with an amazing family and enjoys spending as much time with them as possible experiencing whatever adventures may come their way.

Michael’s wife Carty is responsible for scheduling our special events. She puts her creative energy and attention to detail to good use in all her endeavors. Carty’s years of experience in the hospitality industry make our workshops, meetings, and client events not just highly educational but also a lot of fun. Carty enjoys running, the beach, and spending time with her Golden Retriever, Maggie, and her Maine coon cat, Jack. She is also involved in numerous community service groups and charitable activities, and her faith is an important part of her life.
